Let it begin...

Birthday Party craziness that is! I love planning kid's birthday parties and love making a big deal for kid's parties yet doing it homemade on a budget. Well Trexen is turning 2 end of September and I am in full planning mode! We are having an "On the Farm" party- Oink, Moo, Cock-a-doodle doo, Trexen is turning 2!!! He loves farms, tractors, silos and barns so that is what I am doing. September 25th our backyard will be transformed into a farm with a barn, silo and animals. We are having a farm tour where kids will hop on the hayride and visit a milking barn, pig pen, chicken coop, duck pond and pasture. I have station volunteers lined up (my wonderful family) and little activities at each stop. There will be no real animals but this should be even better! Stay tuned for more details and pictures. PB & J Day is Wednesday this week @my house. See you around 10ish, I will have lunch for everyone!

Perfect Picnic in the Park

What a perfect picnic in the park today! Beautiful weather, an awesome group of mamas and some energetic kiddos. PB & J Day has been up and running for 2 months now and it is so fun to see the friendships being built. The kids know each other's names, laugh and go off on their own while the moms are connecting in amazing ways. I am truly blessed to know so many inspirational mamas and have my little ones surrounded by outstanding friends.

Picnic in the Park

We are headed to the park this Friday!!! It has been one of those weeks, crazy busy at work, preparing for my sister's bridal shower (it is at my house Friday night), grocery shopping with both little ones and a never ending list of home projects so a casual, relaxed day at the park seems right.

Meet us in Sun Prairie at Wyndham Hills Park (just off Hwy 19) around 10:30. Pack a picnic lunch and let's end the week well!!!

Fall Fun

The smell of fall is in the air and I am excited!!! Summer was a blast, playing at the pool, cottaging, splash pads, parades and soaking up the sun but I think my kiddos and I are ready for the change of seasons. With fall comes cool brisk mornings, gorgeous changing leaves, caramel apples, pumpkin patches and so much more. I have some pretty fun PB & J Day locations for the fall, including:

• Lapacek's Apple Orchard (Poynette- feed the goats, duck races, tire playground, lots of apples)
• New Children's Museum (we are waiting for school to start so it is less busy)
• Zoo (I love the zoo)
• My House (hopefully the bugs go away soon)

ZOO Wonderful

We had such a great day at the zoo!!! No lions or tigers but we saw monkeys, giraffes, fed the goats and rode the train. It is so fun hanging out with awesome mamas and kiddos. Can't wait for next week!

Snuggle Time

Last week we didn't get together as a group, instead everyone was challenged to do something fun with your kids on your own. The boys and I had a really rough Thursday night/Friday. I eventually took them to the doctor discovering they had Hand-Foot- Mouth. During morning nap they both screamed, eventually I snuggled them in bed and we all fell asleep together! Hope you had some quality time with your little ones, can't wait to see everyone this week!

On Your Own

As all of you mamas know life is always busy! If you are waiting for it to calm down, waiting for your schedule to clear, waiting for that moment when you can think...STOP WAITING. I have really been trying to embrace the busyness, enjoy life now even though it is hectic. I believe having kids automatically equals busy and at times exhausting but don't miss out. I never want to look back at a season of life and think gosh I was so busy waiting for the calm I missed it all.

With that said we are taking the week off from PB & J Day. Work is crazy busy and I am getting ready for my big craft show this Sunday (hope you all come check it out!). However this only means we aren't meeting as a group; I want to challenge all of you to do something fun with your kids this week. Email me pics of your fun time so I can post them! Here are some ideas:

• Stay in your pj's all day, spend time cuddling, reading and laughing


• Make a fort- build it nice and big, using all the blankets and pillows possible


• Have a picnic at home (either inside on the living room floor or outside if the bugs don't carry you away)


• Make homemade Popsicles- freeze kool-aid or juice in ice cube trays


• Make homemade playdough


• Enjoy the silly moments!

Splish Splash

Middleton Splash Pad was lots of fun today! Lakeview Park is so nice; a variety of play equipment, splash area, walking trails and picnic tables. The weather was beautiful, warm enough to feel good and no bugs! Another fantastic PB & J Day. (I was a bit discombobulated today so there aren't many pictures!)
